Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar in Raksha Bandhan
Film's husband-and-wife writer couple go into mutual admiration mode
Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon are the film writers who got married in the month of January. The film Raksha Bandhan will be written by them and is their first collaboration post wedding.
The film will be starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar, which will be a production of Aanand L Rai.

When the writer was asked how does he feel in collaboration, he said, “This is the first time that that I am co-writing a script and I am fortunate to collaborate with a talent like Kanika… who has got such a distinct voice… she has such a varied body of work which I have always admired and I hope we do our best in Rakshabandhan.”

On the other side his wife said, “Raksha Bandhan is a very special story and for the first time I have collaborated with Himanshu Sharma – who is known for changing the landscape of Hindi films! Of course, I was nervous and excited to work with this gigantic talent! With Rakshabandhan we will be able to tell a story that makes its way into the hearts of every brother and sister!”
The film will be produced by Color Yellow Productions in collaboration with Cape of Good films.
